Who are we?

Our Mission is to create gender neutral and effortless conversations on Periods. Real Talk Zero Shame.

Safe N’ Happy Periods (SNHP) is a flagship project of the Amodini Foundation, a Mumbai-based non-profit started in 2016 by Sarika with the help of two friends. What began as a small, self-funded initiative has now grown into a global movement with volunteers from over 15 countries. We’re on a mission to make periods normal through real talks, zero shame, and inclusive education. From puberty to menopause, we work across schools, communities, and organizations to ensure every person has access to informed, stigma-free menstrual health.

Our milestones

From small beginnings to bigger change, here’s how our journey of real talk and zero shame has grown.

The First Step

Safe N' Happy Periods began with a clear goal to make periods normal, end the shame, and spark real conversations that matter. Our first major project was with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC)

Founded

2016

Recognition & Reach

These years marked real momentum with powerful voices like Shabana Azmi supporting us and our first global step through CSR partnership with Pepsi in Ghana, the conversation began reaching beyond where it started.

Growing Support and Reach

Scaling our Impact

From rural India to AFWAI Kenya, our message travelled through partnerships and panels. As we reached new geographies, we stayed rooted in community conversations and on-ground change.

Beyond Borders

Pandora's Box

Our story reached global screens through Pandora’s Box at the New York Film Festival. Closer home, we were honoured by NMMC on Women’s Day a reminder that local action leaves a lasting mark.
